Put The Junction Back on Your DeKalb Dining List |
All-day breakfast and comfort-food choices offer another way to plan a local meal |

A week of concerts and community gatherings still leaves the everyday question: where should we eat? The Junction Eating Place offers a different meal occasion to keep in mind when breakfast or diner-style comfort food sounds right.
The restaurant’s website identifies the business as family-owned since 1969 and advertises all-day breakfast alongside lunch and dinner. It is at 816 W. Lincoln Highway, with a phone number of 815-758-5441.
A menu with several starting points
The posted specials include spaghetti with meatballs at $13.99, a chicken salad cold plate at $13.99, a soup bar at $6.99 and a Pick-A-Pair half-sandwich option at $8.99.
Those listings give you something more useful than a generic recommendation: a few meal choices and a sense of the posted prices. Confirm the current specials when ordering, since availability can change.
The menu page also describes pancakes, fried chicken, club sandwiches and homemade desserts. Breakfast throughout the day is the simplest hook if your group includes someone who would rather order breakfast than a conventional dinner.
Check the day before choosing your time
The restaurant FAQ lists Monday–Saturday hours of 7 a.m.–9 p.m. It does not state Sunday hours, so call before planning a Sunday visit.
The FAQ welcomes walk-ins and recommends reservations for groups of four or more or on weekends. It also says takeout can be ordered by phone, but delivery is not offered.
For dietary needs, call rather than assuming a dish can be adapted. The restaurant says some items can be customized; that is not a guarantee for every restriction.
Rediscovery without the invented review
This spotlight is based on the restaurant’s published information. It does not borrow customer testimonials or turn them into our own experience of food or service.
Keep The Junction in mind for a meal that does not need a special event attached to it. Choose your day, check the hours and current menu, and invite someone you have been meaning to catch up with.
